This week’s video shows an impulse I recorded during work.
I was obviously feeling down,
yet I find it inspiring to let the impulse appear and fold it into my workflow.

While I’m productive when I’m calm and steady,
I’ve learned I’m also productive when I’m emotionally off.
Not in terms of efficiency,
but because emotional turbulence often points directly to what really matters to me.
When something surfaces, it’s a chance to examine the essence of the work.

For me, the key isn’t emotional stability.
It’s having a workspace where my energy doesn’t need to justify itself—
where it can be sharp, dull, heavy, impatient,
whatever it is, and still move.

Just like different characters:
a dull character is as alive as a passionate one.
They simply move differently.

And I always learn a lot from observing them.

Happy Friday,

Truly
