The term deconceptualization can sound destructive and hard to grasp; after all, seeing the world without a point of view seems impossible. However, it's not against any perspective. It simply means the ability to jump outside of the box.

As a performer, I know this state intimately: it's just openness.
I used to believe that experiencing this on stage made me an open-minded person by default. But I was wrong.

I recently realized there is a clear disconnect between possessing this ability in art and applying it in life. When I venture into unfamiliar fields, I find myself automatically applying preconceived concepts to grasp the vague ideas. This is the fixed mindset in action. Overcoming this requires deliberate effort to transfer that core capability into any new domain.

Yet, the theatre experience remains priceless, for it is the very foundation of my certainty that the state of openness is real. So I will keep practicing, until I can face the challenges of creating the life I want with the same freedom I find on stage.
